The Windows NT Print Manager Help topic for Priority incorrectly states

Use the priority setting to control which documents will print
first when sent to a printer.

The priority setting is for printers and not for actual documents. Thi s statement should state

Use the priority setting to control the priority of a printer driver
for a physical printer. When you create two printers for the same
physical printer and set different priorities for them, documents sent
to the printer whose priority is higher always print before documents
sent to the printer whose priority is lower.
