SYMPTOMS

If you try to set the video mode to 256-color 800 x 600 for your Super VGA card, you may receive the following message:

   driver or resolution is not valid

CAUSE

This error message occurs if you have only 512 kilobytes (K) of video memory. The 256-color 800 x 600 video driver requires 1 megabyte (MB) of video memory.

RESOLUTION

To work around this problem, add memory to your video card.
