Hidden Shared Folders Do Not Show in SBS Console

SYMPTOMS

Shared folders that are created (those with a dollar sign ($) at the end of the name) do not show up in the Console page Manage Shared Folders.

CAUSE

This behavior is because hidden shares remain hidden throughout the system.

RESOLUTION

To be able to see the share, remove the dollar sign ($) after the name to prevent it from being hidden.
