Q+E Cannot Open Protected Excel Sheet

SUMMARY

Q+E cannot open a Microsoft Excel worksheet that has been protected. You will receive the Q+E warning 

   This File is Password Protected
and Q+E will not allow you to enter the password for the sheet.

Workaround

Open the worksheet in Microsoft Excel and choose Unprotect Document from the Options menu. You will then be able to open the worksheet in Q+E.

MORE INFORMATION

This feature is documented incorrectly in the "Q+E for Microsoft Excel User's Guide" which incorrectly states that 

   If the worksheet was saved with a protection password, Q+E will
   prompt you for the password when you open it.
Note: Q+E version 3.0a ships with Microsoft Excel for Windows version 4.0.
