Pagemaker Cannot Print to File With Windows NT

The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft Windows NT operating system, version 3.1
  • Microsoft Windows NT Advanced Server, version 3.1

The StartDoc application program interface (API) function is not supported in Windows NT version 3.1. As a result, Aldus PageMaker cannot generate encapsulated PostScript (EPS) files.

To work around this situation, create a printer and connect it to FILE. When you print a document to that printer, a dialog box appears prompting you to type a filename.

Also, because StartDoc is not supported, the PageMaker 5.0 PS Group It feature does not work with Windows NT.
