If you have more fields than will fit in the Data Form and one of the fields that will not fit is of the type NOT_NULL, you cannot add records using the Edit Add Records command.

Workarounds

There are three possible workarounds, as follows:

  1. Reorganize the fields so that the required fields are listed first. This may only be done by the administrator or a user who has owner privileges.

  2. Modify the SELECT statement, excluding enough fields to allow the required fields to appear in the Data Form.

  3. Cut and paste new records from Excel.
