Power Launcher and hDC Work Only with 16-Bit Applications

SYMPTOMS

Power Launcher and hDC work only with 16-bit applications.

CAUSE

These applications install global hooks. Because 16-bit applications cannot hook 32-bit applications, the hooks are global only for the 16-bit Windows on Windows (WOW) virtual DOS machine (VMD).

As a result, these two applications hook all 16-bit applications and then exit when there are no 16-bit applications left running.
