Problems with Dir Command Using Novell Client 32 for Windows 95

SYMPTOMS

When you use Novell Client 32 on a computer running Windows 95, duplicate and erroneous file information will be displayed when performing a directory listing on an FPNW drive mapping.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the following fix or wait for the next Windows NT service pack.

This fix should have the following time stamp:

   01/22/98  12:59               244,128 Fpnw.dll (Intel)
   01/22/98  12:37               225,600 Fpnwsrv.sys (Intel)

   01/22/98  12:55               438,544 Fpnw.dll (Alpha)
   01/22/98  12:34               442,736 Fpnwsrv.sys (Alpha)

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in File and Print Services for Windows NT. A supported fix is now available, but has not been fully regression tested and should be applied only to systems experiencing this specific problem. Unless you are severely impacted by this specific problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Service Pack that contains this fix. Contact Microsoft Technical Support for more information.
