Unbracketed Data Deleted with Excel Parse Command

SUMMARY

When using the Parse command, any characters that are left unbracketed in the Parse dialog box are deleted when the command is carried out.

MORE INFORMATION

The Parse command gives you the power not only to parse the data but also to strip out any unwanted data. Microsoft Excel considers anything not enclosed in brackets as unwanted data and deletes this data when a parse is carried out.
