Uses of the Window Size Box in Excel

SUMMARY

The size box is a window element located at the lower right-hand corner of a document window, bordering the down scroll arrow and the right scroll arrow. The use(s) of the size box may vary between applications. In Excel, the size box has two primary uses: sizing a nonmaximized window and toggling between maximized and nonmaximized window sizes.

MORE INFORMATION

To size a nonmaximized window, click the size box, drag the window outline to the desired size and release the mouse button.

To toggle a window between maximized and nonmaximized sizes, double-click the size box. This feature is not documented.
