XL Err Msg: "Document Not Saved" When Using Templates

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Excel when you attempt to save a workbook that was created from a template containing an embedded object, you may receive the following error message:

   Document Not Saved

This error occurs only if the workbook contains two or more inserted templates.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
