The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft Word for Macintosh, version 5.0

SUMMARY

If you use the Save As command on the File menu to save a Word for the Macintosh document to a mounted Unix volume, the Space Available statistic in the Save As dialog box is garbled or reads "0K Available." If you choose the OK button to save the document to the mounted Unix volume, the following error message occurs:

Disk is full. Please save your document to another disk.

If you save the file to another disk, you can then copy it to the mounted Unix volume.

This problem does not occur with other Macintosh-based Microsoft applications such as Microsoft Excel for the Macintosh.
