How to Change the Color of the Desktop in Page Layout View

ID: Q112095

6.00 6.00a WINDOWS

The information in this article applies to:

The color of the desktop behind your Word for Windows document in page layout view is the Windows Text color setting, which you can set by choosing the Colors icon in Windows Control Panel. If your Windows Text color setting is white, the desktop is gray; if your Windows Text color is cyan, the desktop is grayed cyan, and so forth.

In Word 2.x, the page layout desktop color is the Windows Application Workspace color setting.

If you change the Window Text color setting, not only does the desktop color change, but the color of the Word document window changes as well.
