WD: Can't Use Scroll Box to Get to Last Page of Document

SYMPTOMS

When you drag the scroll box in the vertical scroll bar to go to the end of a large document, the vertical scroll box may not take you to the last page of the document. In addition, the Screen Tip will not display the last page number of the document.

NOTE: This problem will occur in any view in Word.

WORKAROUND

To scroll to the last page of your document, click and hold the bottom scroll arrow on the vertical scroll bar until you reach the last page of the document.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.

To display screen tips, follow these steps:

  1. On the Tools menu, click Customize.

  2. On the Options tab, click to select the "Show ScreenTips on toolbars" check box, and then click Close.

  • Outline
  • Master Document
