WD: Headers Don't Wrap Around Positioned Objects in MacWord

Last reviewed: November 17, 1997
Article ID: Q41276

The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft Word for the Macintosh, versions 4.0, 5.0, 5.1, 5.1a

SYMPTOMS

When a graphic or paragraph has been absolutely positioned near the top or bottom of the page within the header or footer area, the header and footer text does not wrap around the positioned paragraph and overlaps with it when viewed in Print Preview or when printed. Page View can also display the overlapping objects or a portion of them.

STATUS

This behavior is by design of Microsoft Word.
