WD: Inserting Caption into Paragraph Applies Caption Style

SYMPTOMS

When you insert a caption in a Word document, Word applies the Caption style to the current paragraph.

CAUSE

This functionality is by design. When you insert a caption, Word applies the Caption style to the caption line or the current paragraph containing the insertion point.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, use either of the following methods before you insert a caption:
