  • Microsoft Word 98 Macintosh Edition

SYMPTOMS

When you record a macro, the mouse pointer does not change to a cassette tape as it does in Word for Windows. When you record a macro in Word for the Macintosh, the mouse pointer will change to a transparent, outlined arrow.

NOTE: The standard mouse pointer on the Macintosh is a black-filled arrow.

MORE INFORMATION

To record a macro in Word, start the macro recorder and perform a sequence of actions. You can then run the macro whenever you need to perform this sequence of actions. When you are recording a macro, you can use the mouse to click commands and options, but the macro recorder doesn't record mouse movements in a document window.
