Word 2.0 for Windows

In Word version 2.0, you can use the InsertSymbol macro, included as part of the Application Note titled "WordBasic Macro Examples for Word for Windows 2.0," to display the special characters for any font listed in the Character dialog box. A dialog box prompts you for a font name prior to displaying the Symbol dialog box of special characters.

MORE INFORMATION

If you want to use a font that is not listed, you can type the name of the font in the Symbols From box. The font display is not updated automatically; after you type the font name, you must select one of the characters on the symbol grid to display your chosen font. For example, if you want to choose a symbol or bullet from the Courier font set, type Courier in the Symbols From box. Select a cell on the symbol grid to view the Courier characters, and then select your symbol or new bullet character from the Courier font set.
