SUMMARY

A Microsoft Word for the Macintosh document containing equations created in the Equation Editor that are imported into Quark XPress version 3.0, may print with boxes around the equations.

This does not occur when printing from Quark XPress 3.1.

However, using Background Printing while printing a document that includes an Equation Editor equation may cause other problems. It is possible that Quark XPress 3.0 or 3.1 will stop, or the printed document will contain garbage characters instead of the special symbols that should be used for certain parts of the equations.

These problems can be solved by turning Background Printing off.
