The information in this article applies to:
The left and right borders on your table are missing after you paste or paste link the table as a Picture or as a Microsoft Word Document Object.
Use one of the following workarounds to paste your table with borders.
1. On the Edit menu, click Paste Special.
2. Select Paste Link.
3. In the As list, click Formatted Text (RTF) and then click OK.
NOTE: "RTF" stands for Rich Text Format.
1. Place the insertion point in the upper-left cell at the left margin.
2. Position the mouse pointer over the margin release indicator on the
ruler. The mouse pointer should look like a horizontal two-headed arrow.
3. With the left mouse button, click and drag the margin release indicator
on the ruler to the right so that the margin boundary is over the first
character in the table cell.
4. Put your insertion point after the text in the upper-right cell of your
table.
5. Press the SPACEBAR to move the insertion point to the right edge of the
table, just before the border.
6. With the left mouse button, click and drag the margin release indicator
on the ruler to the left so that the margin boundary passes the
insertion point.
You can now copy and paste or paste link the table.
To do this, paste a copy of the table into Apple Scrapbook.
1. Copy the table by selecting it and clicking Copy on the Edit menu.
2. Place the insertion point in a blank area of the document.
3. On the Edit menu, click Paste Special.
4. Choose Microsoft Word 6.0 Document Object and then click OK.
5. Resize the table so all columns and rows are displayed.
6. Select the table object. On the Edit menu, choose Cut.
7. Start the Apple Scrapbook (usually located in the Apple Menu Items
folder).
8. On the Edit menu, click Paste.
9. On the Edit menu, click Copy.
10. Switch back to Word. Place the insertion point where you want the table
to appear.
11. On the Edit menu, click Paste Special.
12. Select Picture and then click OK.
The table is now pasted as a graphic.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
