SUMMARY

The forms toolbar contains twelve different controls that you can place on a custom dialog box. To place one of these controls on a custom dialog box, click the button of the control you want. Drag the mouse pointer on the dialog box until the control is the desired size and shape.

The following table lists the controls and their descriptions.

   Control name            Description
   ---------------------------------------------------------------------

   Label                   Text provided for the user, such as names,
                           instructions, and cautions.

   Edit box                A box that allows a user to enter text, numbers,
                           or cell references.

   Group box               A border that separates a group of buttons or
                           other controls from the rest of the dialog box.

   Button                  A button such as Cancel or OK.

   Check box               A box that indicates whether an option has been
                           set, regardless of the state of other options on
                           the dialog box.

   Option button           A button for selecting one item from a group of
                           mutually exclusive options. Options can be
                           placed in a group box to group them together.

   List box                A list of text strings that allows for one or
                           more selections.

   Drop-down              A single non-editable text box and an down arrow,
                          paired with a drop-down list that appears after
                          the down arrow has been clicked.

   Combination            A single editable text box combined with a list
   list-edit              box.


   Combination drop-      An empty edit box with a down arrow, paired with
   down edit              a drop-down list that appears after the down
                          arrow has been clicked.

   Scroll bar             A horizontal or vertical scroll bar for changing
                          numeric values.

   Spinner                A pair of buttons for increasing or decreasing
                          a value.
