WD97: Menus in Word Viewer Do Not Respond on First Click

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Word Viewer 97, menus may not respond on the first click.

CAUSE

This problem occurs if Word Viewer is busy processing another command (for example, a command that changes a view setting).

RESOLUTION

The menu will respond if you click it a second time.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
