This problem occurs regardless of the view (for example, page layout or online layout view) and of whether you are sending as an attachment from Word. CAUSE ===== This problem occurs when any of the following e-mail templates is selected when Word is your e-mail editor: - Flame.dot - Hitech.dot - Midnight.dot - Ocean.dot - Rain.dot - Urgent.dot WORKAROUND ========== To keep the e-mail template look in your e-mail message, use one of the following methods. Method 1: Insert the Word Document in a New Mail Message -------------------------------------------------------- 1. In Word, save and close your document. 2. In Microsoft Outlook, with Word as your e-mail editor, on the File menu, point to New and then click Mail Message. 3. Move the insertion point to the message area of your new mail message, and then on the Insert menu, click File. NOTE: To send the Word document as an attachment, ensure the As Attachment check box is selected. 4. Point to and click to select the file you saved in step 1, and then click OK. Method 2: Copy and Paste Your Word Document in a New Mail Message ----------------------------------------------------------------- 1. In your Word document, on the Edit menu, click Select All. 2. On the Edit menu, click Copy. 3. In Microsoft Outlook, with Word as your e-mail editor, on the File menu, point to New and then click Mail Message. 4. Move the insertion point to the message area of your new mail message, On the Edit menu, click Paste.
