SUMMARY

This article describes the additional Office Assistants that are available with the Microsoft Office 98 and Microsoft Word 98 compact discs in the ValuPack folder. These Office Assistants are located in the following folder on the Office 98 and Word 98 compact discs:

   ValuPack:Assistants

When you perform either an Easy or Complete install of Office 98, you will only get one Assistant character installed -- "Max." If you want additional Assistants, there are 13 more available in the Assistants folder in the Value Pack.

To install the Office Assistants, you can either copy them from the compact disk to the Microsoft Office 98:Office:Assistants folder, or you can use the Value Pack installer to add the Office Assistant Component.

To use the Value Pack Installer, double-click the icon labeled Value Pack Installer.

The following are the additional Office Assistants located in the ValuPack:Assistants folder:

   Bosgrove
   Clipit
   Dot
   Earl
   F1
   Genius
   Hoverbot
   Logo
   Mother Nature
   Power Pup
   Rocky
   Scribble
   Will

You need 20MB of disk space to have all the assistants installed.
