WD98: Can't See Pasted Object Using Show Clipboard Command

SYMPTOMS

When you select and copy a drawing object and then view the Clipboard contents (on the Window menu, click Show Clipboard), the drawing object is not displayed on the Clipboard. However, if you paste an object from the Clipboard, the drawing object is inserted into your document.

CAUSE

This problem occurs if the Show Clipboard window is open when you copy the drawing object to the Clipboard. The Show Clipboard window is not refreshed to show the new contents.

WORKAROUND

To refresh the Clipboard contents, close the Show Clipboard window, and click Show Clipboard again.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
