WD98: Office Assistant Animations Start Slowly

SYMPTOMS

When you activate the Microsoft Office Assistant, the Assistant will activate slowly and any sound effects may not be synchronized with the image when it is displayed.

Although this problem occurs with all of the Office Assistants, it most obvious with the following Office Assistants:

   Bosgrove
   F1
   Earl
   PowerPup
   Rocky

CAUSE

There is a slow interface between Microsoft Office Assistant and the Macintosh operating system.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
