WD98: On Exit Macro Jump to Unprotected Section Fails

SYMPTOMS

When you use a Visual Basic for Applications macro as an On Exit macro for a form field, and the purpose of the macro is to go to a location in an unprotected section of a document, the insertion point briefly goes to the location designated by your macro, and then jumps to the beginning of the unprotected section when the macro has finished executing.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
