SYMPTOMS

When you create a new letter with the Letter Wizard (on the File menu, click New, and then click the Letters & Faxes tab), and select either the Contemporary Letter, Elegant Letter, or Professional Letter page design, your new letter document may remain blank. That is, no text is inserted into your document.

WORKAROUND

To use the Letter Wizard to create your new letter document, follow these steps:

  1. On the File menu, click New.

  2. On the Letters & Faxes tab, select either the Contemporary Letter, Elegant Letter, or Professional Letter template, and the click OK.

NOTE: This will create a new letter document based on the template that you selected.

  3. On the Tools menu, click Letter Wizard.

NOTE: You may need to move the insertion point to the body of your new letter document before you can click Letter Wizard on the Tools menu.

The Letter Wizard will now start. Make changes to each of the tabs as desired and then click Finish to complete the Letter Wizard.
