SUMMARY

On page 15 of the Printed Field Documentation portion of the Microsoft Word for Windows version 2.0 Macro Development Kit (MDK), there is a documentation error in the example of the \e switch for the INDEX field. The documentation incorrectly shows the field as:

   {index \e "{bmc tab.bmp}"

The field should be:

   {index \e "->" }

where the arrow -> character is the tab character created by pressing the TAB key on the keyboard and is visible if you click the Show/Hide button on the Ribbon.

In Help, the arrow is displayed correctly, but the closing curly brace is missing, as it is in the Printed Field Documentation. To access Help, choose Help Index from the Help menu, and choose the Field Types And Instructions topic.
