Word: PostScript in Table Leaves Extra Space

SUMMARY

If the Normal style is changed so that it has Spacing Before or After, it may affect the placement of graphical elements placed in a table using PostScript commands.

To correct the problem, redefine the PostScript style so that it does not have any Spacing Before.

For example, when attempting to shade within a cell, if the Normal style is defined with Spacing Before, the text in the table cells will print lower than where it was placed. This is because the text in the cell is being forced down vertically the amount of space that the PostScript code uses.

Since the PostScript style in Word is based on Normal, if the Normal style is changed, it can cause problems when using the PostScript style to send PostScript code to a PostScript printer.

The text appears correctly in Galley View and Page View, but in Print Preview it appears as it will print.
