The performance degradation varies from minimal to drastic depending on memory, processor speed, and other extensions loaded. WORKAROUND ========== NOTE: Macintosh System 7.5.1 Apple Menu Options Remember Recently Used Items does not effect performance as much (if at all) as the 7.5 version. To workaround this problem, turn off the Remember Recently Used Items by following the steps below: 1. From the Apple menu, choose Control Panels. 2. From Control Panels, choose Apple Menu Options. 3. Clear the check box for Remember Recently Used Items. NOTE: In order to gain performance, the option must be turn off.
