SYMPTOMS
========

Messages arriving from a UNIX system may have an empty attachment.

Several sets of conditions must occur for this to happen. It must be a binhex
message and it must have been scanned on the sending side by a virus scanner
before arriving at the Exchange Server computer.

RESOLUTION
==========

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Exchange Server
version 5.5. For additional information, please see the following article in the

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products that are
listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in
Exchange Server 5.5 Service Pack 3.
