SUMMARY

In Microsoft Excel, when a file has been saved with the Allow Multi-User Editing property turned on, any user connected to the file can turn this property off. Changing this property (turning it off) automatically saves the file. When the file is saved in this state, all other users are immediately disconnected from the file and are unable to save their changes to the shared file. Even if the file is resaved with the Allow Multi-User Editing property turned on, other users will not be able to save to the file until they reconnect to it.

MORE INFORMATION

The Allow Multi-User Editing feature can be turned on to make the file a shared list. This will allow multiple users to access and make changes to the file concurrently.
