XL7: Errors Inserting Data Map with Module in Step Mode

The information in this article applies to:

• Microsoft Excel for Windows 95, version 7.0

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to insert a map on a worksheet while a module is running in the background in step mode, the following error message will be displayed:

   Microsoft Data Map is not installed. To use Data Map you must run
   Setup and choose to add Microsoft Data Map.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because the Debug window of the module sheet becomes active when you attempt to insert a map.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
