From the Apple menu, choose the Chooser. 2. Select the Mail icon and the AppleTalk zone that contains the name of your server. 3. Select the name of the server that contains your mail account. 4. Click the Set Up button. 5. Click to select or deselect options, or type in needed information. The following is a list of the possible types of information, and the resulting action Mail takes at start-up time. Please note that some of the options below are not available unless one of the other options has first been selected: Option Description --------------------------------------------------------------------- Sign In To Mail Automatically Enters your name and/or password when you start your computer. Password Must Be Typed Enters your name for you, but you must enter your password at login time. Note that Sign In To Mail Automatically must be selected. Password Entered By System Signs you in automatically when the Macintosh is started by entering your name and password for you. "Sign In To Mail Automatically" must be selected. Please note that using this option allows anyone starting your computer access to your mailbox. Your Name This is your user name, to be entered by Mail upon sign in. Password This is your password, to be entered by Mail upon sign in. Password Entered By System must be selected. WARNING: Allowing the Macintosh system to enter the password will reduce security to your mail account. Anyone with physical access to your server may be able to read your mail. Please use this feature with caution.
