Zip or Jaz drive when no media is in the drive. The following message is displayed Unable to read drive x: Abort, Retry, Ignore where x is the drive letter for the removable media drive. If you insert a disk and press the R key to retry, Audit will continue. RESOLUTION ========== A supported fix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This fix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Systems Management Server service pack that contains this fix. To resolve this problem immediately, contact Microsoft Product Support Services to obtain the fix. WORKAROUND ========== To work around this problem, ensure that a disk is in the removable media drive before performing an Audit. STATUS ====== Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Systems Management Server version 1.2. MORE INFORMATION ================ To install the hotfix, replace the Audit16.exe file in the \Primsite.srv\Audit\Package\X86.bin directory on the site server with the hotfixed version.
