SYMPTOMS
========

When you attempt to upgrade from SNA Server 3.0 using Back Office Server 4.5,
the following error message occurs when you select to install SNA Server:

   The previous version of SNA Server must be uninstalled before selecting this
   component.

WORKAROUND
==========

To work around this problem, run the SNA Server Install program separately from
compact disc number 7, where the SNA Server Install directory is located. The
SNA Server Install program starts correctly from this location.

STATUS
======

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products that are
listed at the beginning of this article.
