XL98: Button Format Carries Over to MS Excel 5 Dialog Sheet

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Excel 98, when you copy a button from a worksheet to a MS Excel 5.0 dialog sheet, the font formatting from the button is copied and displayed in the dialog sheet. However, you run the dialog, a different font is used.

CAUSE

Font formatting for button controls are not supported in MS Excel 5.0 dialog sheets. Objects created in an MS Excel 5.0 dialog sheet support only using the Microsoft Excel default font.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
