This problem only occurs on systems that have been created using the System Preparation Tool for Windows NT 4.0 (Sysprep). RESOLUTION ========== To resolve this problem, you can convert the drive after installation of Windows 2000 using the Convert.exe utility. To do so, from a command prompt type: "convert c: /fs:ntfs" (without the quotation marks) STATUS ====== Microsoft has confirmed that this is a bug in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. Boot Windows NT 4.0. 5. Insert the Windows 2000 CD-ROM. 6. Choose to upgrade the system. 7. Select convert the drive to NTFS. 8. Complete Windows 2000 Setup.
