SYMPTOMS

When you move or copy a worksheet in a workbook, the names of drawing objects in the moved or new worksheet appear to be renamed. For example, if you create two rectangles, one named "Rectangle 2" and another named "Rectangle 4," and you copy the sheet, the rectangles are named "Rectangle 1" and "Rectangle 2."

NOTE: To determine the name of an object, click to select the object. The name of the object appears in the Name box in the upper-left corner of the worksheet.

This problem occurs if the following conditions are true:

  • You create three or more drawing objects on a worksheet.

    -and-

  • You delete any of the drawing objects you created.

    -and-

  • You copy or move the worksheet.
