When the Event 18 occurs, Performance Monitor shows that Tn5250.exe is using 100 percent of the processor. After the loop starts, all subsequent client connection attempts result in Event 9 error messages until the TN5250 Service is stopped and restarted: Source: SNA TN5250 Server Event ID: 9 Description: The SNA TN5250 Service detected a scheduling timeout while attempting to accept an incoming client. This fix may receive additional testing at a later time, to further ensure product quality. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Microsoft SNA Server 4.0 service pack or Microsoft Host Integration Server 2000 service pack that contains this fix.
