XL98: Movie Stops Playing When Not Visible

SYMPTOMS

When you are playing a movie that is embedded in a workbook, Microsoft Excel 98 for Macintosh Edition may stop playing the movie. This may happen even though the movie is set to play continuously.

CAUSE

This problem may occur when the following conditions are true:

  • You scroll down the window so that the movie is no longer visible.

    -and-

  • You click Loop on the Movie toolbar.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
