XL98: OPTION+DOWN ARROW Fails to Display AutoComplete List

SYMPTOMS

When you try to use the shortcut keys that display the AutoComplete list (OPTION+DOWN ARROW), the keys fail to work.

CAUSE

This problem occurs when the worksheet you are using contains an embedded object.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, press and hold down the COMMAND key and press U, and then press OPTION+DOWN ARROW.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
