XL98: Shortcut Key Does Not Clear Diagonal Borders

SYMPTOMS

The shortcut key COMMAND+OPTION+HYPHEN for clearing all cell borders does not remove diagonal borders.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, clear all the borders at once. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Select the cells from which you want to clear the borders.

  2. On the Format menu, click Cells, and then click the Borders tab.

  3. Click None. Click OK.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
