SYMPTOMS
========

When you save a game in Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings and type the name of
a communications (COM) port or a parallel (LPT) port, you receive the following
error message:

   That already file exists. Overwrite it?

If you click Yes, you receive the following error message:

   The game could not be saved. Free some disk space, and then try again.

RESOLUTION
==========

To prevent this issue from occurring, do not type any of the following names
when you save a game in Age of Empires II:

 - COM1
 - COM2
 - COM3
 - COM4
 - LPT1
 - LPT2
 - LPT3

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Age of Empires II: The
Age of Kings.
