SYMPTOMS
========

If you attempt to install Microsoft Flight Simulator 2000 on a computer running
a beta release of Microsoft Windows 2000, the installation program quits before
any files are installed.

CAUSE
=====

The Flight Simulator 2000 installation program is not compatible with beta
releases of Windows 2000.

In addition, Flight Simulator 2000 is not supported on the Windows 2000 operating
system.

RESOLUTION
==========

To prevent this issue from occurring, install Flight Simulator 2000 on one of
the following supported operating systems:

 - Microsoft Windows 95
 - Microsoft Windows 98
 - Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 with Service Pack 3 (SP3) or later

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products that are
listed at the beginning of this article.
