In the event viewer application log, you may notice the following event: Event ID 1206 Source: MSExchangeDS Type: Warning Catagory: Knowledge Consistency Checker Description: Couldn't modify directory replication connector /O=Organization/OU=SiteA because of error 34. If this condition persists, stop and restart this Microsoft Exchange Server computer. WORKAROUND ========== Do not use a colon when naming an Exchange Server site. STATUS ====== Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Exchange Server version 5.0. This problem has been corrected in the latest U.S. Service Pack for Microsoft Exchange Server version 5.0.
