SYMPTOMS
========

When you install any of the Microsoft Encarta products listed at the beginning
of this article, you may receive the following error message:

   Your computer does not have enough disk space for Microsoft Installer. Please
   create at least 8 Mb of free disk space and try your installation again.

CAUSE
=====

This behavior can occur if you are installing the program on the Microsoft
Windows 95 operating system.

RESOLUTION
==========

The Windows 95 operating system does not meet minimum system requirements for
Encarta. For additional information about the minimum system requirements to run
