CAUSE ===== This behavior can occur if the [MCI] MIDI Sequencer driver is missing, disabled, or damaged. MORE INFORMATION ================ To install the [MCI] MIDI Sequencer driver, use the appropriate method for your version of Microsoft Windows: Installing MIDI Sequencer in Windows 98 --------------------------------------- To install the MIDI Sequencer device in Microsoft Windows 98, follow these steps: 1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel. 2. Double-click Add New Hardware, and then click Next. 3. When you are prompted to search for plug and play devices, click Next. 4. When you are prompted to search for new hardware devices, click No, and then click Next. 5. Under Hardware Types, click Sound, Video And Game Controllers, and then click Next. 6. Under Manufacturers, click Microsoft MCI. 7. Under Models, click MIDI Sequencer Device (Media Control), and then click Next. 8. Click Finish. 9. Follow the directions on the screen to finish installing the MIDI Sequencer device.
