You work in the editor for an extended period of time without saving the file. You then select some text with SHIFT+UP ARROW or SHIFT+DOWN ARROW, copy the text into the clipboard using CTRL+C, then press the UP ARROW. You may see an error similar to the following running on Windows NT: VFP.EXE application error. The instruction at 0x006dc198 referenced memory at 0x01dc5000. The memory could not be read. STATUS ====== Microsoft has confirmed this to be a bug in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. This bug was corrected in Visual Studio 6.0 Service Pack 3.
